Don Quixote was always one of my favorite heroes, a dreamer and a man of passion following his wildest dreams. At least this was my idea until I red the book. I was kind of shocked of how much Cervantes ridiculed Quixote, punishing him in a every single page. I realized that the writer did not really wanted to narrate the adventures of a dreamer but rather make a satirical statement about the tales of knights in shining armor. The people who try to convince us that have higher values but in reality they want the same things we do. Even though i still love Don Quixote and his romantic adventures i consider myself more of a Sancho Panza character.

The animation is based on a handcut collage i created at 2006 using my "stained glass" technique. The materials are prints of gradient colors cut and pasted on a black hardboard. Original dimension is 100/70cm.
