Recently I had the extreme privilege and honor to help support another artist, Twisted Vacancy who urgently needed new hardware to keep creating his joyously distinctive art with its signature palette.

Teaming up in collaboration with the world renown crypto artist Coldie on the theme of artistic and self respect, we created the piece "Found Coldie's Respect" which was then auctioned to raise 5 ETH which was donated in full to Twisted Vacancy's new laptop fund to fully fund it.

Coldie is a good hearted artist but a strict art director and as part of the collaboration he played this role in exacting detail with precise requests for revision resulting in quite a few changes from my originally proposed version of "Found Coldie's Respect".

Besides achieving the primary goal of a great collaboration for a solid cause and real community building, there were some digital remnants of the creation process which I think still hold value to the art world at large.

To that end I present "Coldie's Reject"... an almost verbatim original intention that was rightly rejected by Coldie on several grounds due to an impedance mismatch with the palette and details of "Lost Coldie's Respect", my original piece that kicked off our funny little collaboration.

While this reject was not acceptable for the original purpose and with good reason (it was a not a match to create a sort of diptych set), maybe it will charm someone's heart with its sheer vivid cuteness.

I am like many artists in the space, creating on hardware that is 8 years old (and in some cases over 30 years old!) so the sale proceeds from "Coldie's Reject" will be used to fund my own new laptop! ;-P
