Background about this photo: It was not easy for me to find this 1942 Straits Malaya 1000 dollars banknote to do a video about it. Not many of these survive and this kind of banknote is normally only own by somebody who is very very rich. Back then a meal only needs a quarter-cent. A Collector told me that he owns one and allow me to do a video about it. It was an honour to be able to do a video about it. This banknote normally after the auction will stay in a Safe until the owner plans to sell or pass it on to another person. At the time I do this video in the year 2021, the estimated value for this banknote is around 20,000USD ~ 30,000USD.
