Cue, genesis.
This work was inspired by the likes of the Vitruvian man by da Vinci, the Crab Nebula as viewed by the Chandra X-Ray Observatory, the Red Rectangle Nebula, and many other smaller details.
The story depicted here, views the Vitruvian man in a modern light- he is heavily exaggerated, with lines converging at center- all the wings, legs, and the first pair of arms converge at his center.
Notice, one set of arms is clasped across his forehead- this minute detail suggests agony; further evidenced by the strong sense of perspective, radiating inwards from extremities.
The "birth" in a sense relates to the pulsar star behind Vitruvius, viewed displaying particle jets as the star consumes itself- this star has already proceeded its supernova- meaning, the heavy metals produced from the death of what was a previous generation star, is now flung off into the universe, destined to seed where it comes to rest with valuable materials.
Lastly, the polka spheres are a signature of sorts- a mechanism to draw your eye to the work; their pulsating colors serve as an attention grab, and yet, they do not overbear on the composition within-
All in all, this work is one of my best to-date. I hope you enjoy it as much as i do- thank you for reading!
