A piece inspired by the myth of Pygmalion.

In Greek mythology, Pygmalion was a sculptor who created a statue of a woman that was so beautiful that he fell in love with it. He named the statue Galatea. The goddess Venus brought the statue to life and it became Pygmalion's wife. Pygmalion's love and devotion to his art had been rewarded.
