[05/86] - Life, Death and Resurrection - Twin Towers

Story

There are two twin houses on the main street of my childhood in center of Mariupol. They are known as the houses with the spire and every resident knows exactly where they are. At some point, one of the houses was repainted white, while the other remained natural brown and it always reminded me of the two towers from Lord of the Rings. Who would have thought that real orcs would come and destroy our country...

Despite all the events since 2014, the Ukrainian authorities decided not to remove the soviet stars and coats of arms from the spires as a tribute to the past. After I'll take a picture of the destroyed towers for the second part of this project (The "Death" Collection), I will patiently wait to shoot the third version of the restored building where there will be no more ugly soviet coats of arms anymore.
