Flying high above the ground, I watched the intriguing patterns that adorned the earth's surface reveal themselves piece by piece.

Returning home, I sat down to edit the images. Studying what I had captured, I saw the repeated network of dark lines formed in the rocks by rain water that looked like an inverted lightning strike spreading across the ground.
