From the Mountains of My Mind: Piece #06
From the mountains of my mind, from deep sea to dark sky, how have I made it this far? A collection of 1 of 1s.
These textured landscapes are created using photographs, digitally layered. Each begins with a landscape featuring mountains - multiple photos of flora are overlayed. A golden disc is placed on top to embellish the scene and add to the sense of awe. As a photographer, I have often felt limited in ability to truly represent the awesomeness of nature. In particular, the feeling of overwhelming serenity I feel when in the presence of mountains.
This series is the product of a burning creativity that continuously pushes me to find new ways of using photography to represent what I could never objectively document. Inspired by the desire to authentically expresses the feelings I experience in these seemingly surreal natural landscapes, I bring you images From the Mountains of my Mind. I hope by viewing these pieces, you too feel a sense of awe, wonder, and deep peace.
