“Balloon Venus” Digitally Deflated

For Jay Delay’s new cryptoart series, Artificial Intelligence created the concept as well as the descriptions then Delay began systematically digitally deflating Jeff Koons’ inflatable sculptures while yielding positive feedback with that visceral sensation of continued deconstruction in each piece that you feel coming off that balloon…and slowly blow away. That is when it becomes not about being blown away…but how it was exposed to the elements that made it.

The new series is being performed in Buenos Aires and attracted international media attention for its attention-grabbing gimmick of intentionally deflating an extreme, hyper-commercialist piece that has been the global talk of the past year.

Jay Delay is a comic, a degenerator, a curator, a graffiti artist, and I can't find any news articles online about their first major release but the release has already garnered critical acclaim and the Miami New Times credits their work as the benchmark for creating 'free entertainment' that is not constrained by the rules of ethics and morality imposed on artists by curatorial powers.

By removing objects from their place of purchase you can build a 'jail' around one's money. The small figurines are placed in a soft plastic cage or canister that can be passed around and caged if you desire.

While other artists birthed new ideas in this time period (“mainly hitmen’),Delay was different as he pulled from a deep history of human sacrifices to also create a product that follows every previous art culture progression. Rather than replicate the concept, Jay Delay created the concept and changed it to fit his new tastes and spirit. his new art has a fresh and strong art feel that is recognizable and powerful within itself. his work is unique to a modern level in the form of its illustrations.

For some of the works the act of deflating the work was complete and for others the component parts were crafted as individual pieces and then combined together before entering into the system. This final step allowed the inflatable art to interact with a controlled physical environment. The creation process was less abstract and slower but perhaps more thoughtful and rewarding for all.
