"100 beauties" No.15_転寝 (Utata Ne)

_ Ukiyo-e is a Japanese ancient painting art that depicts the culture and trend of the common people, which was popular in Japan about 400 years ago.
 I use existing old Ukiyo-e as motifs and draw them with a modern sensibility. A bridge between ancient and modern, a portal between past and present. Images of everyday life with an ancient flavor blend with an atmosphere with contemporary characteristics. Space-time is annihilated and the series of works presented here, which smell of Ukiyo-e in both setting and title, allow us, dwellers in the present, to savor and experience for a single moment the lives of these Edo-era women by uniting them with ourselves and annulling centuries and distances.
