Simply an artificial intelligence grasping the intricacies of typography, abstraction, and the essence of the human form and architecture within photography with such depth that it can recreate complex, creative and abstract compositions, paying homage to collage, scanner art and xerography.

In the late '90s at art college, I was deeply immersed in this style of art and typography, much to the horror of the more traditional design lecturers. Revisiting this exciting, high-contrast lo-fi world by utilizing AI to create works within this genre with such realism has been a dream of mine since I first began experimenting with AI art in early 2021.

Some might assume that, as an artist, I'd prefer the hands-on process of cutting, pasting, and arranging manually, followed by scanning or photocopying to produce final outputs, rather than relying on a computer. But they'd be mistaken. I'm truly in awe of the creativity at play here — witnessing ideas and compositions that I could never have imagined.

Insight: Stable Diffusion output from a prompt with variables injected and also being influenced in composition from a huge bank of outputs from an AI trained on my own typographic works and works from this genre.
