Everyone loves a come from behind victory, but what they miss is the journey. The long shot is always counted out right until they aren't. They instantly go from "How do you think you can win?" to "You're so great!" Ultimately what you learn is, most people are just spectators. They aren't risking anything. They aren't the one making any type of sacrifice. So don't listen to their opinion no matter how great, or how terrible. It is your job to run your race. Dont look left or right, only forward. Because even a long shot still has one.

In this photo taken on the home stretch at the Kentucky Derby, Lucky Strike is still visibly behind (red jockey second from left) with not much track left to run. However, instead of giving up, he kicked in to high gear and pull off the upset of the century. From 80-1 to 1 of 1, and champion of the Kentucky Derby.
