After completing my bachelors in film, I immediately moved over to Los Angeles to pursue my passion in film

Within about 6 months, I got a job at a small production company which presented an opportunity to produce an indie film.

Producing was always the career I wanted to pursue, so I jumped into it with eagerness to learn everything I could.

I spent roughly 7 weeks on set in Arizona:
• 3 weeks pre-production on location
• 4 weeks on set in 110 degree weather at a waterpark

The days were grueling and the 16 hour work days were exhausting, but the experience was priceless. I learned more on that film set in those 7 weeks than I did in 4 years at college.

We completed principal photography in Arizona and we had one last scene to shoot for the movie in Venice Beach which is where this piece came to be on a beautiful summer night.

If you’re familiar with tv / film, wrapping production can be emotional.

You go into the trenches with a crew of 50 people- whom you have formed unforgettable memories with, filming a 100 minute piece of art and you don’t even know if you’ll ever see the majority of that great crew ever again.

As we said our goodbyes and headed off to the parking lot, I turned to capture a moment that will be forever engraved into my mind. This photo represented the closing of a chapter, a sense of peace and calming- something that was much needed after what the last 2 months had put me through.

This piece embodies much more than a summer Venice beach sunset… It captures a significant moment in my career. A project I put my own blood, sweat and tears into all while conquering the massive flux of anxiety that came with the unexpected fires needing to be put out on a daily basis.

This NFT represents a sense of calm I needed at that exact moment & for many days to come in my life.

To whoever has the opportunity to collect it, I hope you know this will be a piece I cherish forever.
