This piece talks about the roles of a woman in a family, in society. That they sometimes misjudged & that they sometimes are taken for granted. That the prejudice & jealousy of others could destroy her entire life

The Hanging Three

Have you ever heard the tale of the hanging three?
It's about a woman who did things gracefully,
who learned amazingly, who bloomed beautifully
But that wasn't right said the society
She probably hid something that was nasty
So it started with jealousy
And envious is always greedy It led to animosity Because all she did was doing things correctly
She's sinful for having sanity
For being trustworthy

On one fine spring
Poison was dropped on her tea
For days she was in agony She wanted to end her misery
And decided to hang herself on a flowerless tree
The people then buried her under the snapdragon ivy

A year later
The tree bloomed snapdragon flower
Purple pink overpower

This is a tale of the hanging three
It started with jealousy It ended with agony
But why three you ask,

When they killed one
They actually lost three Because a woman is at least a three
A sister, a stellar & flower
A giver, a soul bearer, a mother who thrives to be better

But in the end
She had to surrender To a tragic path altogether
