Burlesque women/performers since ages have been objectified by men, but Women being strong, they kept on performing since centuries to make people laugh with their performance. It’s the perfect metaphor of finding joy among sadness/being ridiculed and women have the power to make people laugh while inside they might be depressed.

I am SHE and I am WHO I AM.

Burlesque performance is one of the oldest performance which was a combination of comedy and provocativeness, filled with female choruses, solo dancers, singing and slapstick comedy. The word derives from the Italian “burlesco”, which, in turn, is derived from the Italian burla – a joke, ridicule or mockery.
