Off the western shore of South Korea, in the cockpit of a UH-60 Blackhawk, my aircraft and crew flew trail in a formation of three. Soaring just a few hundred feet above the ocean en route to the Northwest Islands, on a contingency mission to conduct overwater search and rescue in case one of the CH-47’s went down into the water.
