In Hinduism, Kali is synonymous with the concepts of sexuality & violence and is known as the Goddess of death & time. She is also the embodiment of Shakti - a combination of feminine energy, creativity and fertility - and is often linked to maternal themes of motherly love.

Ten heads, ten arms, and ten legs is a common visual depiction of Kali. It is said each of her ten hands carries items that represent the power of one of the Devas or Hindu Gods.
