About the [Un]broken collection:

This collection is inspired by the Japanese art and philosophy of Kintsugi (golden joinery). With Kintsugi, broken objects are repaired with lacquer and gold, highlighting the breakage and making the weak parts stronger. As a philosophy, it treats brokenness as something to be highlighted instead of hidden; it’s a symbol of healing and resilience. Kintsugi also creates a connection between two parts that may not be otherwise possible.

Us humans are different and unique in a myriad of ways but something that we all have in common is pain. Life does break everyone in some way, let’s be honest. But for some reason, we tend to try and hide those broken pieces of us even though they make us unique and relatable to each other. Breaking doesn’t mean we have stopped being useful or beautiful, and goodness, there are some beautiful humans in the world. This collection is a celebration of you.

The titles of four of the artworks in the [Un]broken collection answer the question, what broke you?

About this artwork:

It’s no secret how society pressures us to be a version of ourselves that’s deemed ‘acceptable’. No one knows this better than people who identify as men. The pressures are astronomical and for many, they take it silently until they crack under the pressure.

Size: 4000x4986

NFT comes with physical painting (highly recommended). If physical is not claimed, artist retains the right to exhibit physical but it won't be resold.
