These Barbary macaques (also known as barbary apes) are native to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco.

Because of tourism, these monkeys have grown accustomed to humans, and fearlessly approach them in hope of procuring food, and in some cases, even block the road in order to encourage people to feed them. Despite their willingness to engage, "Tourist Group" monkeys have lower overall health due to their interactions with humans.
