A homage to one of my favourite artists - the late Agnes Martin.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnes_Martin
I love her "field" type pieces which contain organic strokes in a semi rigid geometric pattern which appears more natural and asymmetrical the closer one looks.
In my version the organic feel comes from the painting textures rather than the shapes, because unlike Martin I like to have perfect (or near perfect squares).
For me it creates greater contrast, the perfect versus the imperfect, side by side. Sharp clean lines against rough, gritty chaos.
There is something very pleasing in it, but it needs to be balanced right because too much can ruin what I'm trying to create.
Obviously my versions will never approach Agnes because she was a genius.
If you print it out and put it on your wall please show me on my Twitter at https://twitter.com/a5ht4r - I would love to see it.
Use as you please for non commercial purposes but please give credit. If you want to use for anything else please contact me on Twitter.
NB: As always no guarantees are made for future value. This is for the art.
