My submission for The Art of Gender and Sexuality, the first of 4 digital art grant-exhibits đ°đ Inspired by strong womenâs, who can seem weak & gentle, like a rabbit. But in fact, any boa constrictor canât gobble up them. My art â itâs the fight for equality and representation. For my example - when you born and live in a beautiful and sexy woman body â every day you fight with many gender stereotypes: like a sexy woman is stupid, or woman canât be strong and should be silent or woman need to be everyday pretty for her man in our male-dominated space. These stereotypes, like a big snake, who want to eat your individuality (which like a little bunny) every single day and every minute. I know what it is like to always receive a reaction to your sexuality, even from someone from whom you would not want it. Every human can be sexy, individual and independent, but when he wants it, for yourself or for someone else.
Playboy and Sevens Foundation are proud to announce a first-of-its-kind partnership that brings a new four-part NFT grant-exhibition series focusing on Playboyâs core editorial themes of Gender and Sexuality, Speech, Equality, and Pleasure to life. The collaboration provides underrepresented digital artists with the opportunity to mint and sell their work in the metaverse. Playboy and Sevens recognize how the fight for equality and representation that continues to define the art world at large is particularly urgent in the fast-moving world of NFTs. As such, the first installment of the series, The Art of Gender and Sexuality, invited applicants to celebrate the power of diverse identities and perspectives. The exhibit was curated by artists ix shells, Anne Spalter & Shantell Martin, and Playboy head of art & editorial Liz Suman & creative director Erica Loewy.
