"secrets are hidden in the deepest part of this lake
quick, run, the pink haze is coming!"
This piece brought me a lot of creative fun. I have started as a two tone white and blue (yup!) going somewhere towards a seascape yet again, my impatience and loading colours on the board caused it to lose the original concept.
From there, I rinsed the paints off using a showerhead (pressure and direction) and then directed the excess “paint water” with a hairdryer (of course after the wet process was over) and covered them with simple blocks of colour. You can still see the texture from that experiment.
The final result was achieved by putting paint splashes directly on the board and using a ruler to squash and spread it (under the careful supervision of Taz - who is the most impressive art curator - he is a one nice fluffy cat).
This was the first time I have been working with a canvas board that uses MDF and that allowed me to be a bit more brave with rinsing.
