Interestingly enough, I consider some of my best images to be 'mistakes' or something other than what I had been searching for. This photo is particularly meaningful to me. The day before taking this photo, I had been exploring the city, scouting for beautiful scenes. I found this location and it immediately caught my attention, begging me to return the next day; however, in my mind, I was hoping to take a photo devoid of cars, people, or any form of movement. I kept waiting and waiting but that moment never came, at least the moment did arrive, but in the corner of my eye I spotted a girl walking along the side. I felt as though, the picture was somehow more complete and reminded me of the lines of one of my favorite songs, the line being, 'I'm always searching for your figure to appear somewhere.' It is a song about the longing for someone in the past that has disappeared from your life. I feel as if this picture became even more powerful when this feeling became tied to the image, the photo, and the title as it is something we as humans can all relate to. The red kanji on the right side, says 'Quality,' which I thought even made the image perfect.
