The recent pandemic forced the whole world to slow down and went into reset. On some level, individually and collectively, we went through changes and transformations, at least some explorations of new ways of doing things. For me, it was the way I did my art as a photographer. During the first three months, I explored photo techniques I had not used in years. One technique I spent most of the time playing with was Pictorialism. I wasn’t happy with the results at first. The whole idea of having my photographs out of focus wasn’t something I had been doing much as a commercial photographer prior to the pandemic. The moment I realized I needed to open up to changes, incredible pieces came to life. This piece is one of my favorites.
