Infinite layers of patterns and colors merge and connect... Gigantic chaos, organized by the great forces of nature to create ART.

This photograph shows a river from south Iceland, captured from a Cessna plane from the open window. Depending on the area, the conditions, and the light, these rivers can be more or less colorful. This particular river was the most colorful I’ve seen.

The patterns and colors are happening under the water's surface. They are created by the different layers of sediments underwater, and the otherworldly patterns reveal themself only from high altitude.

As I was processing this image, the mythic feathered snake « Quetzalcoatl » silhouette was appearing more and more to my eyes. That’s why I decided to name it this way.

Captured on September 2021.
