I draw this while taking care of my sick mom. I intend to show this artwork to celebrate her recovery together. But there are many ways to interpret this artwork meaning. :)

Initially, I started off with dark colors that depict my sadness. But gradually, as we’ve been going to different doctors, we began to see the light and my mom’s recovery is showing progress too. At this point, I used light and warm colors into the painting, it shows that there is a light, there is a ‘rainbow’ coming for me and my mom.

This is also shown from the character, she has a sweet smile, yet it is kind of sad. She’s embracing the celebration, without forgetting the hard work and the sadness before she reaches this moment. It is the moment she is waiting for!

I hope to anyone who is having a bad day, when they see this artwork, this will give them spirit to keep going and know that at the end of the day, they will have their own ‘rainbows’ coloring their day too!
