Free the Nipple is a movement against the censorship of the female nipple. Yes, you read that right. It all began in 2013 with activist and filmmaker Lina Esco. Her crusade isn't just about supporting women's right to go topless whenever and wherever they want; rather, it aims to break down some of the taboos that are a part of American culture. We don't know how, but this movement wants global gender equality. It just does it in a fun and frivolous way. It aims to highlight certain hypocrisies surrounding the female body and to desexualize its top part once and for all.
