A dreamlike odyssey towards one's fears. Female subjects, from behind, a moment before an emotional manifestation due to not feeling comfortable in an environment. 'Before the Tension' is an experimental synthography project that anticipates a larger work on the psychology of the human being. The work will be presented in 2024. Depicting women from behind in order to gradually insert the viewer into the psychological theme through an element of universality, allowing people to project their own experiences and fears onto the images. Through a simple and linear aesthetic, it is intended to be an intimate and delicate look at a moment of human vulnerability. The choice to use only female subjects is no coincidence, but this concept will be explained in depth in the main project, through photographic portraits in which the study of fears is detailed. The black and white serves to give a line of suspension, with a selenium toning that pays homage to analogue photography, as well as the choice of a back frame and handwritten title/signature.
