The Last Goby represents the loss of coral reefs due to Ocean Acidification. Blue-banded Gobies (Lythrypnus dalli) are small inhabitants of Eastern Pacific coral reefs, which are scarce because of the highly dynamic ocean conditions that characterize the Pacific. Ocean Acidification, triggered through Climate Change, has devastating impacts in the architecture of reefs, as it dissolves the calcium carbonate structures that compose them. Because reefs are the nursing areas for the Earth's oxygen production, human lives depend as much on their survival, as do Gobies.
