"This artwork started life as a copy of Hokusai’s Great Wave. The celebrated Japanese print was re-imagined with invisible Ultra Violet inks - inks commonly found on banknotes, and only visible under UV light. In this version, I have replaced the Dollar signs in the background, with a disco ball style revolving animation of Ethereum icons. It is a celebration of the Ethereum ecosystem, and its ongoing applications, including crypto art. For many cryptoartists, 2019 - the year of creation of this work - feels like a literal ‘Ether Wave’, as 2019 was the year in which new forms of creativity were solidified through Ethereum. This artwork will be re-made into a physical print - The physical artwork will break new ground in print history, and will be a unique elevation of one the most iconic works of art."
