Frankie’s Backstory When your job is to protect the multiverse, you must have eyes everywhere and no Guerilla has ever been more qualified for this job than Franky, the master of persuasion. Franky, had single-handedly managed to train and hire thousands of secret agents behind closed doors. As a result, Global Guerillas (GG) was able to receive pertinent information, which enabled them to keep their new sector of the galaxy safe, with the help of the Multiverse Brotherhood (MvB). It was Sunday morning when an informer reached out to Franky alarming him of an attack that was coming to a head on the huge asteroid, 0x1155. Located a few galaxies away, under the protection of MvB, the asteroid looked quite normal, except for the fact it was so big that its 200,000 inhabitants had been living there comfortably for nearly 12 million years. Gravity on this asteroid was also unique, all objects, including people, would float above the ground. A mythical energy, beyond what science could comprehend, would repel the asteroid’s people, environment, and infrastructure, while opposing gravitational forces would hold them at a safe distance, away from outlying debris. What was yet to be discovered, was the vast deposits of a mythical substance called Enjinite lying right below the asteroid’s surface. The powerful resource was the most valuable and rare ore ever discovered by Guerilla-kind, necessary to develop technologies that could pierce through multiple dimensions. Once discovered, it was clear that 0x1155 contained 99% of the universe’s Enjinite but no one had ever been able to bring a drill close enough to penetrate its outer shell. This was a well-kept secret held sacred by GG Scientists, but somehow the Skotos Syndicate (SS) had discovered 0x1155 and they knew if they found a way to mine it, they could use the Enjinite to increase the weight of their influence across the entire multiverse. Without hesitation, Franky, teleported to the planet to gather intel. The informer was right, hordes of ships and flying robots had surrounded the planet-sized asteroid, ready to invade and lay waste to the existing population of peaceful inhabitants. Nearby, a well-hidden laser drill equipped with bizarre devices was waiting for the order to blast. Franky rushed into the asteroid’s primary barracks and explained the dire situation to the general commander of 0x1155, who immediately ordered his forces to lock and load. In a blink of an eye, thousands of trained GG agents, and soldiers from all three factions of MvB descended on 0x1155. The local inhabitants gathered in public spaces, equipping their flight enabled combat suits. They armed their in-built sonic beams that could melt titanium shields from kilometers away using savage, piercing vibrations. Franky, being Franky, had managed to unite the inhabitants without much effort. As he yelled into the sky, hearts throbbed, blood boiled, and the faith of the defenders was galvanized in an instant. But, It was too late. A deafening shriek pierced the sky. The drill had been activated. A giant laser beam ripped into the middle of the Asteroid’s greatest canyon, creating a wide blanket of fire-red radiation pulsing from outer space. The enemy attack was calculated and vicious, they targeted the asteroid’s deepest canyon, its lowest ground, and thinnest layer, with the assumption that it would also be the asteroid’s weakest point. Their goal was to pierce the shell and cause a cataclysmic effect. Within seconds, a massive hole ripped the canyon apart, instantly destroying the Asteroid’s repulsion field, and altering the asteroid's gravity forever. The asteroid’s gravity instantly became somewhat like Earth’s. As the inhabitants’ feet touched the ground for the first time, so did their tears. The allies were at a loss but the clock was ticking faster, they couldn’t allow enemy forces to take over and pillage the infinitely-powerful resources of 0x155. Everyone knew what the future would be like if the SS succeeded. That was a future not worth living for, which made this a fight worth dying for. 300,000 soldiers, including some of the most gifted warriors in the whole multiverse, stood against an army of millions. Ally fire blasted the enemy forces, along with their powerful sonic beams - piercing metal, melting flesh. Death surrounded them as the enemy rained laser onto the defenders. The allied forces seemed to crumble for moments, then minutes, but the spirit of justice and the oath of the Multiverse Brotherhood would not allow them to concede defeat. The multiverse was bigger than fear, deeper than pain, nothing could crush who they were. They were the multiverse’s ultimate warriors. Reality’s great last hope. Tens of millions of robotic sentries and fiendish Skotos devourers delivered death from miles away. Deep down though, Franky knew their enemy to be cowards, he rallied the GG and MvB heroes and charged upwards. The bloodbath continued and after hours and hours of fighting the allies showed no fear. For every ally lost, they took 1000’s of the enemies with them. The enemy forces could taste defeat on the horizon. Overcome by the defender’s sheer strength of will, they relented. The ground was no longer distinguishable from the blood that soaked it and the sight of debris from ships, robots, and carcasses was inescapable. The Global Guerillas’ eyes filled with tears, hearts filled with pain, pride, and relief. They saluted the skies in a final, heartfelt battle cry. It was another glorious, yet grievous day for the Global Guerillas and the Multiverse Brotherhood. The battle on Asteroid 0x1155 was won, but the war was far from over. Franky was right, we have nothing without each other. The time has come to rebuild, unite, and prosper. The Global Guerillas need your help! The multiverse needs more defenders.
