One of the lines I found most inspiring and carried throughout my journey in creating this piece is the following line from the sixth law, the law of detachment, "I will step into the field of all possibilities and anticipate the excitement that can occur when I remain open to an infinity of choices. When I step into the field of all possibilities, I will experience all the fun, adventure, magic, and mystery of life." This sentiment of being open to all possibilities and excited about the wonders of the unexpected is something I truly relate to every time I create new pieces of art. As someone who has been creating in some form or the other for most of my life, there are moments when I go through feelings of dread every time I start something new and feel the weight of my past experiences and creations driving what I need to do next, but I often try to remind myself that creating based only on what has been will not necessarily take me anywhere. I instead try to look towards practicing incorporating newness or the unexpected every time I create and have found great joy in taking that challenge of being surprised. I have found, in my own experience, that practising this law, really does bring out the better in me and, historically, contributed to many of my own personal achievements. So when I read this, it felt very much like something I personally really related to and wanted to carry with me in the process of creating this piece.
