Published in May/June 1993, WIRED magazine came with a glorious cover that made history. On it are the 3 forefathers of the Cypherpunks... Tim May, Eric Hughes and John Gilmore; masked, ready to initiate a change; ready to take on authority for the sake of privacy... Crypto Rebels with a cause! Your Privacy! \ Not only am I intrigued by the underlying story, but also by the imagery of this cover, so it seemed natural as part of my reverence for the Cypherpunk movement to create an alternate cover with a Crypto Anarchy logo. The result is here as a unique NFT in its original colors, which are interspersed with animation that pays homage to the world of bits and bytes. \ An image that has made history; redesigned for the soon to be released series of articles in BITCOIN MAGAZINE - in honor of the PR1MAL CYPHERPUNKS!
PR1MAL CYPHER studied philosophy, linguistics, psychoanalysis and art in Innsbruck and Vienna. In the past his artistic work was mainly in the field of oil painting. At the beginning of 2020 he reinvented himself and forced himself in his work mainly into the digital field and especially into the crypto art and NFT scene, in which he quickly flourished and gained a wider recognition. PR1MAL CYPHER was born. His work is largely inspired by the Vaporwave and Outrun art, as his passion has been CYBERPUNK since his early youth. He sees in it not only a graceful aesthetic. Cyberpunk is much more — a bridge of the present and its technical innovations and ambitions to different scenarios of the future of mankind, which will be significantly influenced by technology. The reference to the Cypherpunk, Anonymous and also Blockchain movement is thus clearly reflected in his works and is of crucial importance.
