'Corona Goddess' is a fantasy art portraying COVID-19 in an ethereal form. We have seen hundreds of images where death the phenomena is being portrayed usually as a 'person' or skeleton wearing dark clothes while holding a scythe in its hands. And so, here too I have portrayed a virus and phenomena into a 'person' , 'being' or 'goddess'. The predator nature of the aliens from the movie series Alien inspired me to add an element which would underline the fierce nature of Corona, and in our context is mainly in its ability to spread extremely easy and to be quite unmerciful for people within certain demographics. While working on this, I realized that a mouth similar to Venom's mouth would fit perfectly, influencing the entire final result on Coronavirus exactly as how the media portrays it constantly, deadly and scary. And so, in people's mind, the Corona Goddess gains more power than it actually has, and mainly through fear. I knew from the beginning that its head was supposed to be how the actual Coronavirus looks like. The same color pallet would continue to the rest of the body. Initially I wanted to draw the torso section as her eating her own lungs, making a reference to what COVID-19 does to in our body. However after some serious thought, I figured this might be way too extreme and perhaps too disturbing or even offending for some people. I do make my art for its own existence and usually not for what other people want to see. Rarely I do some exceptions to abstain myself, and now it's one of those times, considering that this is an open-wound event still on going.

Instead I resorted to a flayed upper body (actually the whole thing), to resemble/point a reference to the organic and biological nature of the main topic. Surely I could find better words to describe what I just wrote right now, but the words do not seem to come. Upper part of her dress. Made out of skulls covered in gooey COVID-19 substance, dripping from the upper side of the body. Her feet look almost normal, except the color and the shedding of the skin on the right foot. Please notice the shadow underneath her dress. Okay, noticed.
