burst_ artwork 26 / Der Reigen der Kranzträgerinnen: 2017 I worked with one of the leading wall conservators in Austria (Johannes Duda) on the reconstruction of Koloman Mosers „Der Reigen der Kranzträgerinnen“ at the famous Art Nouveau-building “Wiener Secessionsgebäude“ or just simply called „Secession“. It came to realization with the Federal Monuments Authority Austria in a reconstruction phase between 2017 - 2018. Originally it was created in 1898 for the Secession building, and was completed also that year, the fresco originally adorned the rear façade until its destruction in 1907. I was lucky to get the opportunity to work with one of the best conservators on such a huge prestigious project which was first of all a scientific research project. I was his first assistant and was responsible for many kind of different aspects of the work, like mixing the right facade plaster and helping with the deduction of the template. Later cut out the sketch from the damp wall and so on.. It was a beautiful work and I will never forget the creation process.
