Burning our crops in gratitude is how we fertilize our soil with its ashes so next year‘s crop can thrive. Harvest time is upon us, and the current moment feels like we’ve been burning our last crop.
The potato and corn are revolutionary in the world. In honor of Mexico and Peru being in collaboration for centuries to feed people around the globe, this piece demonstrates how evolution has led us towards a better future: one where there are fewer people hungry, thanks to our innovation.
Although an age-old tradition, the rediscovery of this wisdom through a modern application in our world can bear the greatest fruit of our ancestor’s labor.
