Lore: So here's the thing.. a Pen Shell (lat. Pinna..) is the largest known clam in the Mediterranean, Wikipedia can tell us that much. Fun fact; locals from Mljet's national park told me that these Pen Shells often have a friend visiting them, a little crab that we in Croatia call Cuvarkuca which when literally translated means "house guard".

The little crab warns our dear Periska of the impending dangers by advising her to close her shells by offering a caring pinch pinch. Even though they make up one of the coolest benthic combos, the Pen Shells are really, really endangered.

This piece was created in honor of their coexistence. Firstly, I translated Pinna's shape into that of a robot which ended up looking pretty sleek so I added Musk to the name. Then I made the crab overgrown and mutated for better protection while maintaining flexibility. Can be viewed at SuperRare exhibit called Atlantis inside VRchat.
