Michael Fikaris is a multidisciplinary artist who is known for his spanning drawings, comics, printmaking and street art. Fikaris’ printmaking later transformed into zines, which he exhibited in light boxes. Alongside these group shows and graphic novels, Fikaris was painting the streets. His artwork evolved from a sort of reading robot, to a floating or pointing character. Fikaris’ artistic oeuvre has allowed him to experience diverse opportunities around the globe. He has worked on 1,000 art tours and has street art located in Lisboa, Portugal. He has also spent some time living overseas in Canada and the US.
KICKING BACK
"Kicking Back" is the main piece from the series END POINTS. This piece was painted in Lisbon city laneways in 2017 while Michael Fikaris was there doing a residency at the comic book library for two weeks. He had to spend a few days scouting the area to create this piece.
