I was trying to reverse engineer a pixelsort algorithm I’d seen that made long lines that disappear into black. I figured out some way of doing it - and I did a series of experiments with taking complex patterns I made manually and dragging them into the shadows. The concept was that a soul or mind or whatever was the pattern arrangement, and saving it meant putting these pixel spires underneath. On the other hand - maybe it’s just an effect I worked out ;)
