The artwork deals with the trap we create in our own mind. It broadly depicts three stages of FIT IN. Stage 1- Struggle- depicted by the blood on the wall, representing the efforts it took to enter the small box. Stage 2- Pain- depicted by the scissors. When in attempt to be happy at a place we are trying to fit in, we try to change ourselves to the extent that the pain occurring from it seems harmless and necessary. Stage 3: Comfort- depicted by the smile on the face. We trap ourselves in this widely accepted and ordinary world (not meant for us), that fitting in it seems like a big success.
These color combinations are used as satire to represent the emotions associated while being trapped in our mind. Outside the box- RED- dangerous. Box- white- peaceful Scissors- golden-as an opportunity Human- blue- intelligence (we think it's the smartest choice)
