this digital image is from a sunrise on a cold winter morning in south dakota. i had decided to take a trip to south dakota on a whim, i had never been there and i really didn’t plan much. the entire experience was magical—i chased the moon until it fell below the horizon, i drove until i found the end of the rainbow, i saw bison and antelope and fell asleep to the sounds of coyotes howling at the moon.
