I love to read inspirational quotes. Most of the times when I start working on a new piece I'll have one of these quotes stuck in my head. I don't preplan my art though. I prefer to work intuitively and let each one unfold organically with no real expectations of the outcome. This quote was the one I was thinking of when I created, Power Over The Mind “The mind is a powerful force. It can enslave us or empower us. It can plunge us into the depths of misery or take us to the heights of ecstasy. Learn to use the power wisely.” ~David Cuschieri
I create art not just as a need to express myself, but also as a way for me to deal with life. The great Picasso said, “The world doesn’t make sense, so why should I paint pictures that do?” I feel this deeply and believe it comes through in my art. Each piece I create is a way for me to sort through the chaos of life and try to make sense of it by making connections on a subconscious level.
