joining the nft community, in many ways, has felt like meeting the family i never knew i had. so much love and encouragement. so much support. i have found my tribe. at the same time i still experience insecurities. impostor syndrome maybe. i gasp for breath as i share my poetry. i wonder if i should share my photography. or my drawings. i gasp for breath as i encounter new concepts, new technology. and time and time again, i feel it. that insecurity. feeling overwhelmed. out of sorts. unsure if i will be able to cope. to breathe. jumping out of my comfort zone. pulling back. trying again.

i have been thinking about this a lot lately. then today, when seeing this foto again, i was reminded of what i tried to express with it. how the world may look to a fish who jumped out of the water. strange and hard to read. wondrous and interesting. scary, but in a good way. and i realized this was me. me and so many of my nft family. we dare to jump out of the water, into a new realm. we may gasp for breath. it may be scary. but in taking that leap, we evolve. as artists, and as beings.
