This is a scene of my artvideo “Un’emozione per sempre 2.0”. “Un’emozione per sempre 2.0” is – according to what I know – the world’s first real film with an actor or actress generated by AI. Because of this artvideo I was later contacted by the EMMY-winning journalist Katerina Cizek, who conducted at this time a study for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and asked me about my experiences and thoughts concerning the work with AI. The scene “Ornella Arrives in 2019” was the first usable scene, generated by AI. I tried to work with material of other models which could be the body double for Ornella Muti, but the results was not good. I am wondering why the AI worked well with Kendall Jenners face. She has dark hair and her strong eyes are perhaps easier to “read” for the AI. So when the AI generated this scene, this was the a wonderful success after a lot of painful setbacks. Later I added some smoke and colors to the scene, in order to create a surreal time travel ambiance.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) described me as a “new generation artist and photographer”. (study "Collective wisdom", 2019). The British Royal Photographic Society me an "experimental contemporary artist". I am experimenting with photography, glitch-art, videoart, and one of the outcomes of this work was "un'emozione per sempre 2.0": The world's first film with a cast, generated by Artificial Intelligence. If you want to know more: Google knows me :-) Here is the home of some of my digital artworks, minted as NFTs.
