This is an intricately hand carved Black Bear from a solid white birch tree log - it stands 27 inches tall by 11 inches wide. Notice the Eager Expression with patience the Sculptor evokes from this solid block wood log. This is all the more remarkable because this Artist created this unique work while suffering three bulging discs in his back, Arthritic hands, and due to covid fears having to pull out some of his own teeth with a Vice Grips. I am setting this work at a price that will allow me to help many struggling Artists recover from the pandemic and help this particular Artist get desperately needed dentures and back surgery and medicines and therapy for his Arthritis.
