Captured in early Spring of 2021 I tracked a snowstorm that was going to lay a fresh blanket of snow on Boulder's iconic Flatirons. I had captured a series of images in this exact spot the year before but knew I could capture a stronger image from this same location. The conditions lined up perfectly, I drove over to Boulder on sketchy, slushy roadways, hiked through six inches of fresh powder and lined up this composition just as the sun began to rise and the clouds started to pull away from Boulder's majestic Third Flatiron.
