The famous Maroon Bells mountain peaks in Colorado photographed just after midnight during the peak autumn colour season. This unique photograph is a luminosity blend of 3x consecutive long exposure images taken at exposure lengths of 25, 45 & 60 seconds in order to capture the full dynamic range of the dark scene. To capture this shot I used a fast 35mm lens at a 1.4 aperture with an iso setting of 3200. This really was an unforgettable (& cold) night under the stars on my own, the crowds started to turn up at 4am to capture sunrise but this was my favourite shot of the trip.
