This is the opening photo of the accompanying photo book for "WENDOVER," depicting the theme in a more spiritual sense. The subject, Mary, a figure of holiness and divinity, is visible between a bed of colorful flowers and a cheerful blue sky. And yet the photo--and the viewer--are only seeing her framed through the posts of an iron fence. Distance is enforced and felt physically, possibly causing reflection about the spiritual distance from deity one might be feeling... or actively increasing.

"Where the West Begins!"
WENDOVER is Oliver Dahl's second published photographic exploration of a small town, a sequel to the series debut, ARCO. The book (and accompanying NFT collection) features a combination of digital and analog photography, paired with stories and history from this town in the Great Salt Lake Desert. From gambling and speed racing to scuba diving and bombing ranges, Wendover is much more than just a sleepy city by the salt flats.
This photo series is the result of 5 different dedicated trips throughout the last year in each of the four seasons. It explores the effects of connection and separation that result from borders and distance, while crafting an honest, raw, and liminal depiction of the gambling town "oasis" of Wendover.
Initial collectors will be sent signed copies of the physical book upon release.
