Trading Card Set: Bed Head Annie 2021 Card: #1 - Poly Yonic - B Side
You've met Poly Yonic - brat pack, psychedelic furette, who lives in a world where gravity loss does not apply.
Now meet what lies behind those eyes: Andie Walsh's bedroom is seen behind Yonic (Pretty in Pink, John Hughes, 1986). The Psychedelic Furs also have a song entitled Pretty in Pink (re: psychedelic furette). Added to Yonic's bedroom, if you look close enough, a poster of M.C. Escher's Relativity painting (1953). In Escher's Relativity, there are three sources of gravity, with inhabitants living in each of the gravity wells - a foreshadowing to each one of Poly Yonic's gaping orifice screaming eye holes as seen in Card #1. M.C. Eschers Relativity depicts "a world in which gravity loss does not apply" (Relativity, M.C. Escher, wikipedia.org.)
Poly Yonic's name is a combination of 'polyphonic' (the rising sound of many voices/sounds) and 'yonic' (refers to forms that resemble the vagina or vulva).
The first NFT collection from digital artist Toppy Eton. An early experiment in collage and digital paint focusing on satire and meme culture. Followed by Foundation Collection, the Main Collection
