The World is Watching – Shot towards the end of May 2020, about a week before NYC started to emerge from its first covid lockdown. This image is inspired by how the artist felt the world (particularly Asia) was watching the U.S during the beginning of the pandemic.
This is a collection of animated GIFs from the World of One series by Brooklyn based artist Johnny Tang. This body of work is composed of surreal and cinematic self-portraits exploring group/individual identity formation, and the Asian American experience.
Johnny Tang is a fine art photographer, who has exhibited domestically and internationally in cities such as: New York, Hong Kong, and Seoul. He has made it his life goal to create a masterpiece (something his imagination cannot improve upon) and to create art till the day he dies.
